Who we are?
We are a dedicated team of creative people who love nothing more than designing and creating interesting spaces. We have award winning artists and crafts folk who bring new and interesting twists to the look and feel of the Tipis.
We all live in Cumbria, the southern Lake District and feel privileged to be located in such a stunningly beautiful place, recently acknowledged internationally by being awarded UNESCO world heritage status. The Lake District is a popular location for weddings and events of all types and we hope with our contacts and in house skills, we can bring your imagined event to life. We are happy to travel throughout the North of England and southern Scotland as required with our Tipis and other event solutions.

Our Tipis are beautiful structures in their own right but they are also big spaces that need filling, we have many different options for you to choose from to make your event special and personal. As we make everything in house we can alter and adjust elements to suit personal choices.
We offer a take away event special – personalised bespoke elements are developed specifically for you – which can be taken away as a memento of the day.
A turn key solution – we can provide you with all the elements to make your event a success – from Tipis, to lighting and power – our bar and pizzas are also popular choices.

Definitions
“Company” means Covered in Style.
“Deposit”, “Equipment”, “Client”, “Price”, “Event Address” shall have the meanings as set out in the Quotation. “Quotation” means the quotation sent by the Company to the Client as set out overleaf.
“Site” means the precise location where the Tipi(s) or Stretch Tent(s) will be located at the “Event Address”.
“Set Up Date” means the date(s) when the Tipi(s) or Stretch Tent(s) and Hired Equipment will be erected and installed.
“Hire Period” means the fixed period when the Client has access to and use of the Tipi(s) or Stretch Tent(s) and Hired Equipment. “Event Date” means the date(s) on which the “Event” is taking place.
“Take Down Date” means the date(s) when the Tipi(s) or Stretch Tent(s) and Hired Equipment are dismantled and removed from the “Event Address”.
N.B. “Set Up Dates” can be 1-5 days prior to the “Event Date”.
The “Take Down Date” starts from 10.00 am on the day after the “Event Date”.
Extensions to the “Hire Period” are at the discretion of the Company and chargeable.
These conditions shall apply to all orders and contracts for the supply of Equipment in the UK by the Company or its authorised agents and if there are any qualifications or variations to these conditions it is important for the avoidance of doubt that such variations should be in writing.
All orders for goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Client to hire goods in accordance with these conditions and the Quotation.
The Company Undertakes
- to deliver the Equipment on the Set-Up Date and to proceed to erect it for the use on or before the commencement of the Hire Period except that if the Equipment is tables, chairs and forms the Company’s obligation is limited to delivery only.
- to dismantle and remove the Equipment from the Event Address as soon as reasonably practicable after the Hire Period.
- to erect and dismantle the hired Equipment according to industry best practice and manufacturer’s instructions.
The Client Undertakes
- to pay the deposit (20%) and to pay the balance in accordance with the Quotation.
- to pay interest on all monies outstanding 14 days after the date for payment both before and after judgement at a rate of 4 per cent per annum above the base rate of HSBC Bank plc from time to time.
- to provide the Company, within a reasonable period of time before the Set-Up Date with either (a) an accurate location plan of the Site showing all relevant services and any apparent obstacles which may affect the erection of the Equipment and the position at the Event Address where the Equipment is to be erected or (b) a representative at the Site for that purpose. In the absence of both the Company will erect the Equipment where it judges to be in the Clients best interests, will be deemed to have completed its contractual obligations and will not be responsible for any loss or damage to subterranean utilities.
- to provide a sufficient and safe electrical supply for the relevant hired Equipment from the Set-Up date(s) being either a mains electrical supply or surge protected event generator with distribution, except where the Company has been contracted and paid in advance to supply power. The Company reserves the right to remove hired Equipment when it deems a power source unsafe or unsuitable.
- to give notice to or obtain any necessary permits or permissions from local authorities and / or the venue owners prior to the Set-Up Date.
- not to enter the Site during Set Up or Take Down without the Company’s staff, contractors or agents knowledge.
- to keep any part of the Equipment that is a framed structure or a tent completely closed and secure and in particular any door in place and fastened when not in use.
- to indemnify the company against any loss or damage to all hired Equipment whatsoever the cause.
- The client must provide to the company proof of having arranged insurance in their name for their hired Equipment at least 28 days prior to the Set-Up Date of the Equipment.
- Upon payment of the ‘Damage Waiver Fee’ referred to on the quotation then the above clauses 8 & 9 will not apply. Please note the client will remain responsible for the first £500 loss or damage and will indemnify the company against any loss of or damage to the Tipis and all Hired Equipment resulting from their negligence or legal liability.
- not to use any lighting, heating, cooking, gas or electrical appliances of any kind without the previous consent in writing of the Company and to use the hired Equipment as instructed by the Company. Specifically, Fire Boxes must be located in the centre of agreed Tipi(s), if a solid wood fire – it must not moved and only fuelled with smokeless logs supplied by the Company.
- not to climb on or tamper with the structure or any part of the Equipment and in particular not to affix or suspend from the Equipment any item whatsoever without the Company’s prior written consent.
Variations
- The Company will use its best endeavours to supply the Client with the Equipment ordered as per the quotation but where this is not possible the Company will notify the Client as soon as possible of any alterations to the design and specifications of the Equipment and where the alteration is fundamental the Client may terminate this contract and any Deposit paid will be refunded.
- The price is based on the assumption that the Client provides a firm and level site of mown turf (or some other material not impervious to the Company’s stakes and able to absorb rainwater) and is served by a firm access road adjacent to the Site with adequate hardstanding for commercial vehicles is free from flooding, trees and overhead obstructions. If this is not case or if the Client wishes the Company to erect the Equipment in a different location to the one indicated by the Client to the Company at the time of the Quotation and in either event the costs to the Company are subsequently increased by reason of increase in labour costs or any other factor the Company may increase the price in accordance with the Company’s published price list and hourly labour rates then in force.
Understandings
- The Price does not include making good any repairs to the Site unless caused by the negligence of the Company’s servants, agents or contractors.
- All sums payable under this Agreement unless otherwise stated are exclusive of VAT (which we don’t require) and other duties or taxes. Any duties or taxes payable in respect of such sums shall be payable in addition to such sums.
Cancellation
- Either party shall have the right to terminate this Contract without penalty within seven days from the date hereof (i.e. the Contract date) subject to written confirmation of such termination being given by one party to the other within such period. In the event of such termination by either party the Company shall refund to the Client all sums paid by the Client to the Company by way of deposit or otherwise.
- Once the period of 7 days referred to in the preceding clause has passed should either party cancel the Contract compensation will be paid of 50% of the Price save that is cancelled within 28 days prior to the Hire Period the compensation will be the Price.
- If the Client cancels pursuant to the preceding clause and the Company is able to re-let the hired Equipment then the Client shall not pay the full cancellation charge but an administration charge based on the costs incurred by the Company in re-letting the hired Equipment which in any event shall not exceed 20% of the Price.
Exclusion of Liability
- The Company will make every effort to complete the erection of the Equipment on or before the commencement of the Hire Period, provided that the Client has complied with the undertakings set out above. If the Equipment is not erected before the commencement of the Hire Period the Client shall have the right to withdraw and the Company shall return all monies paid. If the Equipment is not erected because of delays due to weather or other circumstances beyond it’s reasonable control the Company shall not be liable to pay further compensation to the Client.
- The Company will take all reasonable care to avoid any damage to the Client’s own equipment but cannot be responsible for any loss suffered by the Client in respect thereof other than as a result of the negligence of the Company’s servants, agents or contractors. Specifically, the Company cannot be responsible for any loss suffered by the Client’s servants, agents or contractors before or after the Hire Period.
